The National Medspa Association (NMSA) has prepared a set of guidelines aimed at
providing a framework that will serve as the standard by which all non-invasive aesthetic practices will safely operate, irrespective of their state. These guidelines are meant to describe the way a minimally compliant non-invasive med spa should operate. Given that different states have different rules for different treatments and practitioners, there naturally may be conflict between these guidelines and certain state regulations. To resolve any differences, the NMSA recommends that the more restrictive approach be taken in instances where differences exist. In states where the laws or rules are not as strict as these guidelines, these guidelines should be followed; in states with stricter rules, the state rules should be observed.
Before opening a medical spa, one of the first questions that you tend to face when deciding on how to start a spa business is who can open a medical spa? Are you qualified enough to offer all the treatments usually offered at a med spa, is another common doubt faced by many. How much does it cost to open a med spa is also a crucial consideration to make. Finding the ideal answers and avoiding the usual answers will only come with a lot of market research.
Among these doubts and questions, listed below are some of the essentials that you need to consider while starting your own non-invasive med spa. Individuals who uphold any of the following active certifications will not be required retake these courses. Please upload your current certifications on licensing application.
